The old town of Corfu is a monument. Buildings with traces of Venetian, French and British influence, the narrow paved lanes (kantounia) with hung out laundry and flowering bougainvilleas. The whole area composes a unique architectural ensemble, which was added in 2007 to the list of UNESCO’S World Heritage Monuments.
